Emily Dickinson, 533

Ik rekkenje - As Ik al tel -
Earst - Dichters - Sinne twad -
De Simmer tred - Gods Himel fjird -
Mear net - myn List is koart -

Sjoch ’k nochris - dan falt it Totaal
Mei ’t Earste gear - sa’t skynt -
Wat oerbliuwt - in ûnnut Tafriel -
Dus skriuw Ik - Dichters - Punt -

In Fol Jier - hâldt Har Simmer oan -
Sy bringe in Sinne mei
Dy’t sels it East - oerdiedich fynt -
En is it Paradys sa Fraai

As dat Sy tariede foar Wa’t
De Dichters godlik neamt -
Te dreech dan de Genede en
Rjochtfeardigje de Dream -

I reckon - When I count at all -
First - Poets - Then the Sun -
Then Summer - Then the Heaven of God -
And then - the List is done -

But, looking back - the First so seems
To Comprehend the Whole -
The Others look a needless Show -
So I write - Poets - All -

Their Summer - lasts a Solid Year -
They can afford a Sun
The East - would deem extravagant -
And if the Further Heaven -

Be Beautiful as they prepare
For Those who worship Them -
It is too difficult a Grace -
To justify the Dream -
