Emily Dickinson, 1037

Wa’t stjert, Leave, is gau foarsjoen,
In Gleske Wetter, klear,
De nuete Oanblik fan in Blom,
’t Fertrek is oars sa near,

In Waaier, faaks, in Freon syn Spyt
En Wissichheid dat ien
Gjin kleur sjocht yn de Bôge,
Bisto strak hinnegien -

The Dying need but little, Dear,
A Glass of Water’s all,
A Flower’s unobtrusive Face
To punctuate the Wall,

A Fan, perhaps, a Friend’s Regret
And Certainty that one
No color in the Rainbow
Perceive, when you are gone -
