Emily Dickinson, 269

Wyld - Wyld de nacht!
Wie Ik by dy
Dan wie sa’n nacht
Us Wieldrichheid!

Gjin stoarm - bedriicht -
It Hert yn de slús -
Fuort mei de Kaarten -
Fuort mei ’t Kompas!

Roeikje yn Eden -
Ach - it Tij!
Koe Ik mar marje - fannacht -
Yn dy!

Wild nights - Wild nights!
Were I with thee
Wild nights should be
Our luxury!

Futile - the winds -
To a Heart in port -
Done with the Compass -
Done with the Chart!

Rowing in Eden -
Ah - the Sea!
Might I but moor - tonight -
In thee!
