Emily Dickinson, 306

In freon dy’t Skadet - op in dei
Dy’t Skroeit - is gauwer fûn -
As ien dy’t gloede oan de geast
Jout - op in Skrouske jûn -

De Wynwizer in bytsje East -
Skrikt Kanten sielen - ôf -
Bin’ Herten fan Mansjester
Mear mânsk as dy fan Krêp -

Wa hat dan skuld? De Wever?
Ach, hoe betiist de tried!
Sa stiltsjes as de Drapery
Fan ’t Paradys - ûntstiet!

A Shady friend - for Torrid days -
Is easier to find -
Than one of higher temperature
For Frigid - hour of mind -

The Vane a little to the East -
Scares Muslin souls - away -
If Broadcloth Hearts are firmer
Than those of Organdy -

Who is to blame? The Weaver?
Ah, the bewildering thread!
The Tapestries of Paradise
So notelessly - are made!
