Emily Dickinson, 315

Stjerre - docht net sear, wurdt sein -
En ’t duorret mar in hoart -
’t Is inkeld swakker - geandewei -
En dan - is ’t út it sicht -

In stimmich Hierlint - foar in Dei -
In Roubân om de Hoed -
En dan komt moaie sinneskyn -
En nimt út ús ûnthâld -

It skepsel - fuort no - heimich -
Dat út leafde mar foar ús -
De sliep socht hie - dy djipste slom -
Dy’t sûnder wurgens is -

To die - takes just a little while -
They say it does’nt hurt -
It’s only fainter - by degrees -
And then - it’s out of sight -

A darker Ribbon - for a Day -
A Crape opon the Hat -
And then the pretty sunshine comes -
And helps us to forget -

The absent - mystic - creature -
That but for love of us -
Had gone to sleep - that soundest time -
Without the weariness -
