Emily Dickinson, 1286

Gjin Klipper bringt ús as in Boek
Nei Lannen bûten sicht -
Gjin Hynder kin dat as Papier
Fol paradearjend Dicht -
Nim dit Trajekt, al biste earm,
Hjir drukt de Tol net swier -
Der is gjin Koets foardieliger
As dy’t ús Siel ferfiert -

There is no Frigate like a Book
To take us Lands away
Nor any Coursers like a Page
Of prancing Poetry -
This Traverse may the poorest take
Without oppress of Toll -
How frugal is the Chariot
That bears the Human Soul -
